Shiraz, (Luke) is a 1998 gelding by Gallipiat out of Bold Blossom. He is an off the track chestnut who started his second career as a hunter. His flamboyant style was not suited for the show ring, and he was resold to a young rider who took him through preliminary. His enthusiastic jump proved to be intimidating, and he was offered for sale.
Colleen had watched him compete since he started, and even though she was in her final trimester of pregnancy, sheI purchased him. Since beginning with her in 2008, he has moved up the levels and is now an international record setter.
Colleen and Luke are the first pair to complete five of the six CCI4* events in the world on the same horse. In 2011 they finished 5th in Lexington, USA and 37th in Burghley, GBR. 2012 found them in 12th place at the finish of Luhmühlen, GER and 27th in Pau, FRA. In 2013 they sealed the record when they finished 57th at Badminton, GBR.
Covert Rights, (CR) was foaled in 2006. He is by BFF Incognito out of Let’s Get it Right. 2013 was his first year competing at the Advanced level, and in 2014 he and Colleen won the CIC3* at Morven Park, VA.
In 2013 they finished 4th in his first CIC3* at Richland Park (MI), and were 9th in the Plantation Field (PA) CIC3*. In 2012 they tied for the Intermediate Championship, were 5th at the Richland Park CIC2*, 9th in the Plantation CIC2* and completed the Fair Hill CCI2*. Based on these results they were invited to train with David O'Connor in the US team training sessions in Aiken, SC.
Jenni Autry/Eventingnation writes about CR and interview with Colleen:
"CR made a big statement at Richland Park this weekend, throwing down a lovely dressage test, one of only eight double clear show jumping rounds, and jumping clear around a very big cross-country course to ultimately finish in fourth place in a very competitive field. I caught up with Colleen to chat about what's next for CR."
Roulette, (Roo), is a black 2008 Oldenburg gelding by Rosenthal owned by Leslie Schulz and bred by Cynthia McNemar.
"Roo was sent to me as an early 4 year old, and at first sight I was smitten. He is a fantastic mover and an amazing jumper and just my size."
An unbelievable powerhouse in a petite body, Roo is a cross country machine! He competed at the YEH at Fair Hill in fall of 2013. Roo made the leap to Prelim in 2014, and ran his first 1* at Plantation Field that fall.
